How do I get issues for Company and Team managed projects from portfolioChildIssuesOf JQL Function?

I've got a parent issue with children in both company and team managed projects.  I'm trying to create a filter to get all children of the issue in one view. I'm trying to use the portfolioChildIssuesOf JQL function to accomplish this outcome. However, I'm only getting back issues from the company managed projects.  The team managed projects are not returned.  If I use the parent function I get both.  But I want more than the single layer which that function returns, thus my desired use of portfolioChildIssuesOf.

Any insight or assistance would be appreciated.

We have the same issue, seems to be a limitation. Our solution will be to migrate from team-managed to company-managed projects:
