I have several large projects that we are well into. My CIO wants us to convert everything into Jira. How do I get things like duration, start dates, finish dates, resource names, % work complete, etc. into Jira without having to manually key it in? Then how do I keep it updated from my MS Project?
The only other solution that may be worth trying is Ceptah Bridge ( http://www.ceptah.com/Bridge/Bridge.aspx )
I would NOT recommend doing repeated round trip CSV export/imports in & out of Jira/MS Project if you value your sanity! Why not manage it from within Jira using a combination of GreenHopper & one of the Gantt chart plugins? The one from jplugs in quite good https://www.jplugs.com/jacrm/
Jira isn't MS-Project but it can do a lot & the bridge is good but it's a bit slow and it won't be seemless.
Thanks Kapil. I do have the Connector Plugin. It does import information to Jira, but does not allow me the control I need to export information from MS Project TO Jira. The CSV idea was a good one, but I can't figure out how to export a CSV file FROM Jira. I would like to have the column headings (field ids) so that I can correctly map my Project fields to Jira. Got any ideas?

Hello Tninie,
We can keep a synch between MSproject & JIRa using the Connector Plugin.
Please check the below link:https://plugins.atlassian.com/plugins/com.ecliptictech.connector
Also if you want to import data into Jira, you need to convert fata in CSV format & then import data in JIRA :

Hope this helps you.
Regards
Kapil
