How do I hide epics that are in the backlog from my roadmap view?

I want to hide epics with the status of "Backlog" on the roadmap view.  Is this possible?

Have you tried filtering on Status Category, and only show the "In Progress" and "Done" epics?

The status category would be outstanding if it had an option for the backlog!

Have you tried using a Quick Filter with JQL to show what you need?

Are you working with a project roadmap, or an Advanced Roadmap.

On the project roadmap, I don't see how that can be done. 

But if you are using Advanced Roadmaps, then you have a couple of options. If your advanced roadmap is based on a filter, then you can easily add the requirement to your filter that it exclude any Status that is Backlog. 

Or if your Advanced Roadmap is based on the full project, you would need to go into your Board Configuration, go to sources and you have the option to exclude items based on certain criteria.

Yes, my project is currently using the project roadmap.  I'm not currently paying for the Advanced Roadmap.
