How do I link Request Types from a Service Project to a Software Project?

Kurt De La Rosa August 18, 2022

I am using a Service Project as an ingress point for people and teams to submit tickets to my team. However, the Service Project does not have all of the team management features that a Software Project offers. As a result, I have created a Software Project and I want to create filters that use the Requests Types from the Service Project so that I can create Kanbans and schedules. However, I am having difficulties with the JQL advanced search with creating these filters. I am requesting for some assistance with this.

Hi @Kurt De La Rosa

Welcome to the community.

I assume that software issues have issue link with service issues. In issue search navigator, you can add "Linked Issues" column.. For the issues in board, you can again add the same from board settings -> card layout. Then, linked issues will be visible.

It is also possible to search issueLink and issueLinkType in JQL. Please see this KB.

Hope it helps.
