How do I make the column appear?

I created my own board and added 5 columns.   Only 4 show up.  I googled.  The Atlassian board said to a similar situation, if there aren't any issues in the column it doesn't display.

The 5 columns are 5 different statuses and I have issues in each of the statuses.  If I go to the Configuration page, I see all 5 columns.  If I go to the board only 4.

1)  I actually have an issue with the 'missing' status, so not sure why it wouldn't put it there.

2)  More importantly, how can I add an issue to a column if the column doesn't display?  (As mentioned, if I'm not on the board I can see the issue I have that has the status of the column that won't show up.)

Lary,

You'll have to map your status to a column.

ahhh - got it.   In Boards, Configure.    Thanks

(I somehow ended up with 2 missing columns - In Review and Under Review.   I had issues that had those statuses however.   Jira put them into "In Progress" although I have no idea why.   So dragging and dropping into the right column seems to have done the trick.)
