How do I mark "required" dependency in JIRA Portfolio?

I am trying to configure a Jira Portfolio plan.  There are 3 options for configuring the scheduling of dependencies.  

1. Rank dependent work item below required item

2. Rank required work item above dependent item

3. Off

I was watching a YouTube video posted by Atlassian about "Manage dependencies in Portfolio (dated 2015).  In the video, it mentions that you can edit dependencies from the selected "Epic" and check the "Requires" OR "Is required by" checkbox if the selected Epic is required for other Epic work.  

I am running the Portfolio for Jira v2.12.1 version and I can't seem to find out where to set that up in my plan.

Does anyone know if that capability still exist in 2.12 version?  If so, how do I go about marking it?
