How do I prevent stories from automatically hitting the 'to do' column on my kanban boards?

Hello,

I have one primary project with about 5 separate kanban boards. Is there a way to configure my boards so that when I create an issue (i.e. story, bug, epic, spike, etc.) on my project issue list until I assign the appropriate components? Each board has their own unique components-I want to prevent the new stories from showing up on all the boards until it is ready to be worked in the proper queue. Please advise.

Note: Each board has 3 swim lanes each requiring 2 specific components.

Update your board's configuration to use a Work Sub-filter so it will only show issues that "Components is not NULL"
