How do I reimport Excel extract with new comments/changes?

I have exported all issues to Excel and made changes to the sheet.  How do I re-import the sheet to reflect these changes?

Thanks for this.  I can do bulk imports but am missing some step on allocating to a specific issue.  I have checked issue ID and parent ID.  So, it imports as new issues and does not update the existing issues.  Can you help please?

These specific instructions should help:

1. Ensure the Issue Key remains on your CSV file, along with the Summary - Key is required to "update" Issues rather than creating new ones
2. Next, as a Jira Admin go to Settings > System > External System Import
3. Select CSV, and follow the steps to upload your file. Ensure when mapping the fields you map "Key" to "Issue Key" so the importer updates the existing issues, rather than creating new ones
