Hello, hoping there is an answer to this.
In JIRA, there is the option to receive email notifications every time a comment is added to an issue a user is watching / involved with.
This also relays the content of the comment.
At our company, it is essential we see when comments are added to issues we are on. However, sometimes there is sensitive information in these comments that should not be relayed through unencrypted email.
Is there a way to alter the notification to be "[NAME] has added a comment." and link to the issue only, instead of showing the whole comment in the email notification?
The only think I can think for you to do this would be to customize the email content. This is something you will have to maintain on every upgrade your local instalation and is not accessible in the cloud version, restricted functions.
You can learn more about that here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver071/customizing-email-content-802592932.html
Online forums and learning are now in one easy-to-use experience.
