Before, I was using issueTypeLink is EMPTY, however now this is no longer working. What else can i use to pull in tickets that have no links?

Hi @Alec Jasanovsky , I've been trying this in my Jira Cloud instance and I can't get it to work either.  The closest I can get is to filter by issues that have certain types of links, which is of course, the opposite of what you are asking for.

The format for that type of query, for anyone looking for it, is:

  • issueLinkType in ("<insert link type>")
  • Ex: issueLinkType in ("relates to")

Since I haven't solved your problem, here's a workaround, until someone posts a better answer:

Try exporting your issues to Excel and then sort on the "Links" column, which you can't seem to sort on in Jira Cloud.

I hope this helps in the mean time,
Rachel Wright

Thank you Rachel! That'll definitely work as a good workaround.

You can get these results using plugin "JQL Search Extensions for Jira & reports"

Following queries can help you

linksIssuesCount = 0

linkedByIssueCount =0

Please use this documentation for more queries.
