How do I set a value on a custom field based on a linked issue?

I want to create an automation that does the following:

when a issue of type "Initiative" is linked to an "Epic", set the value of custom field "Name" on that Epic to the key of that linked Initiative

Are the Initiative and the Epic in the same project?

Does it matter what kind of link is used to link the two together? Are you using a specific link type when you link them together? If so, which one, and what are the link descriptions that display when you use it.
