How do I set up a portfolio in BigPicture from several exsisting project in JIRA

Hi All,

I am wanting to set up a portfolio in BigPicture for the first time to get a nice Gannt chart from live projects in JIRA. A step by step process be great. I did start but I cannot see where the options are to import the projects and now think I did it all wrong from the start.

Help be really appreciated.

Hi @Daphne Wallen,

BigPicture is a powerful, but quite complex tool. It is not really in the plug-and-play category when it comes to marketplace apps.

As it supports so many ways of working, frameworks and methodologies, you really need to dive into the documentation of the tool and clearly map out your requirements first. I would recommend to take a look at the getting started part of the documentation first. Do pay a lot of attention to the concept of boxes, which is the key concept to organise your structure in the tool.

There's also a couple of basic and more extensive product videos available publicly to get started, eg this getting started video or this lengthy full BigPicture overview (2022) .
