How do I turn off an automated comment/notification when a new issue is created?

For every issue that gets created in each project we have a comment/notification gets auto-generated to me and one other user that this issue requires our attention.

Somehow this was set up by our former admin but now it is useless and annoying however there is no where I can find to disable or remove it.

Hello,

If you have a Classic Project, go to project settings -> notifications and remove all users from the Issue Created event. If you do not have the notifications menu option in project settings, then it means you have a next-gen project and you can not disable notifications.
