How do I undo a change I made to a custom field that wiped out stored data?

I deleted a custom field list values by mistake. I lost the list of values of the custom field and the selected value in previously created issues.

Is there a way to restore that data?

Answer accepted

You will have to manually put the data back in, or roll back to the last backup you have taken.

Provided that you're on Cloud, you may contact Atlassian Support:

They might be able to help you to extract the lost values from a backup.
