How do I update the scope of an existing API Token?

Hi,

I am currently automating an onboarding workflow to jira and confluence and I use and API token for this. I am writing my scripts in python. 

I have encountered an error where the scope of my api token is not correct and do not know how I go about updating it.

Any help is appreciated.
