How do we link Epic ID to story while importing for team managed projects?

How do we link Epic ID to story while importing for team managed projects? Almost all of the threads I have read suggest it can be done in Team Managed projects using Parent ID but can't seem to locate one that suggests the way to do it in Team managed projects.

In a company-managed project, you set the "Epic Link" field on the story.  

Team-managed project's import doesn't yet support the import of Epic connection data, from what I can see.

Hi Nic thankyou for your response. From what I have read across the forum your answer aligns with what is being the common knowledge across this forum. I was just hoping that someone has found a workaround to be able to do this. Ideally I do not want to be manually editing large amount of stories to add epic link.

There is no workaround yet - Team-managed projects don't do linking in a way that the importer can handle yet.
