How do you assign / attach a sprint to a release?

I am a fairly new JIRA user, and am trying to figure out how to associate a sprint with a particular release.  Is this possible?

The sprint and version are different two concepts in Jira

A sprint can contain multiple versions, a version can also contain multiple sprints

How do you move items from the backlog to an assigned Sprint?

right clicking on the item in backlog shows  you option for 'send to' . select the sprint you want the item to be moved to

Once a task is moved to "done" in JIRA, can you remove the task from the done status and to let team members know you may be revising?
