How does Structure plugin work with Issue security schemes?

I have set an issue security scheme whereby only certain people can see certain issues. These issues also form part of one of our Structure boards that was set up before we set up the security scheme. I was excepting users that have the permission to view the issues will also see them on the Structure boards but I have noticed that even though they can access the issue individually it does not appear for them on the broad. What am I missing?

TIA

Hello @Manali Butey

David from ALM Works here.

Structure will always follow Jira permissions when it comes to access.  To your point, users that have permission to view the issues will also see them in a structure.

There are a few things that we can check to start:

  • Who is the owner of the structure & are they added to the security scheme?
  • Are other users able to see the issues in the structure, if so, what roles and/or security scheme differences are there between the users?
  • Are there any filters in the structure that may prevent the issues from appearing?

If the reason the issues do not appear for these users are not clear after reviewing these three items, it would be best to reach out to our support team via email support@almworks.com or through our customer portal support.almworks.com so that we can dive into the permissions with you in more detail.

Best Regards,
