Het there John,
The Time in source status will track the total ammount of time an issue was in the last status before transitioning to the next status.
As an EXE: a workflow with ToDo >> InProgress >> Done with all transitions set as global (All to all) there are 9 possible transition:
If the Transitions only have a single Transition Possible ToDo > Inprogress > Done and a reopen from Done > ToDo Only 3 Would be present and tracked:
But looking at all 9 when set globally as it highlights the changes better, Any time an issue transitions from a transition to the next it will add the time since the last transition was executed to the total of that transition individually out of the 9 possible, so any time the issue transitions From ToDo > InProgress the time it was sitting in ToDO will be added to the Time In Source Status for this Specific transition BUT the other ToDO > X & X > InProgress totals in the Time In Source Status are not affected, AND its only the time since last transition counted to the total for that transition.
Looking at this screenshot below I ran all the transitions and am currently in the DONE Status:
Wait a few Minutes and trigger the Done > Done Transition again (noting this was previously 5s) and I get:
Transition again about a min later Done > ToDo (noting this was also previously 5s) And I get:
Regards,
Earl
