How many stories can be held in 2GB of storage?

David Miller October 1, 2020

Hi,

I'm currently using the free (max. 10 users) Jira software with the potential of scaling up to more users as my team grows.

What I'm trying to understand, but cant seem to find an answer to, is how many Stories can the free 2gb hold (assuming there's no attachments)?

I'm guessing its quite a lot but don't want to be in a position of running out of space and having to purchase individual licenses if my team doesn't go over 10 in the short term.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks

David

This cannot be predicted since it depends on all sorts of this?

  1. How many attachments per issue issue and how large they are?
  2. What add-ons you have installed? What data the addon store
  3. how large the word content per issue
  4. how many custom fields

If we are talking of just issues without factoring the above, I’ll  guess a couple thousands.

Regards.

Hi, I would literally be using the basics:

  • No attachments
  • No add ons
  • Word content - probably max of say 2000 words
  • Customer fields: none

It would literally be using it in its basic form
