How to Change the name "backlog" on Issue Detail View

On the issue detail view (old view), I would like the backlog workflow button to read as "New" instead of "Backlog" when transitioning back to "new" status.

I have it listed as "New" in the workflow and in the transitions, but still reads as "backlog" on the issue view.

Hello Sarah,

Welcome to the community.

You need to change the name associated with the transition.

If you are in Edit mode for the workflow, click on the arrow between All and New (1) to open the dialog that summarized that transition. Then click on Edit in the dialog (2). Then update the Name in the Edit Transition dialog (3). Then Save it (4), and publish the workflow.

Thanks for the reply.

I had already named the transition "new", turns out the issue was the property associated to the transition. It was defaulting to ".backlog" which I edited to ".new" and it resolved the issue.
