How to Filter particular Epics in Epic progress in Summary tab

I wanted to get a view of Epic progress similar to what is available under summary tab -> Epic progress.

Right now it shows data for all Epics in the project, How can I either -

1. have similar Epic Progress view for selected Epics ? or

2. How can I add a filter to have a similar summary/epic progress view for selected Epics ?

Please note I am looking for a solution to avoid using Filter option in Summary tab and every time adding Epics to filter the data just for a moment and avoid to do this each time when browser is opened/closed

You will need Jira premium / Advanced Roadmaps to view hierarchy for a set of epics. Or if you would be interested in a mktplace solution, I can suggest our app

Issue Hierarchy 

The app also allows you to view your epic hierarchy created in a tree view. You can view %complete progress at each parent level. It rolls up the time tracking fields, story point or numeric fields at each parent level. The app can be added to a dashboard as well

Filtering epics in Summary page of the project is not possible.

An alternative would be to create a Jira dashboard with gadgets that are capable to display epic progress. Unfortunately the gadgets offer by Jira are pretty limited and do not provide a view similar to the one from Summary page, but you could search for an app (plugin) on Atlassian Marketplace that provides such gadget. 

In case you want to try a plugin, our Great Gadgets app offers a Pivot Table & Pivot Chart gadget that can easily calculate the progress of epics (by percentage of tasks completion, by sum of story points, etc) and display the result in form of table, heatmap table, or charts of various types.

The gadget supports filtering by saved filter or JQL, so you can include only the epics you want.

To get a view like this, the gadget should be configured like this:

If you want to display the progress by issue count instead of story points, just change "Sum as Fraction of Rows" into "Count as Fraction of Rows".

Before the part of filter is not an option, filtering would work. Since that is not the solution you are looking for is to create an epic focused dashboard that would have different filters.

The gadgets you would use would be:

• Pie chart - which outlines the epics only
• In progress gadget
• Workload chart - you can apply the filter which contains the epics only for your project
• Filter results - this will be applied for updates in last 7 days,created in the last 7 days 

All of these filters that you would create separately you can create using the basic feature of work item search feature.

@Rishi To get the exact report like that in Jira out-of-the box features ,closest one is Issue statistic that has the precentage metric in it but only for In Progress issues. You would need a third party app to have this. Custom Charts for Jira -Reports, Dashboards, Graphs & Tables by Tempo is a good recommendation.
