Starting around March 1st, 2025 (roughly) a few users have started to receive "a new sprint is ready for you" e-mails from Jira. Everyone is finding it highly annoying and I can't find where to turn these off.
In a Community where everyone is trying to get these types of e-mails I seem to be the only one struggling trying to stop them :)
Hi @Shawn Oster
If it is something that can be turned off it would be in the notification scheme for the project. If you are not an instance admin you would need to partner with your admin for a company managed project
If it's a team managed projects you can do it yourself. If it's not there then it isnt user configurable generally. Unless it's profile level so clicking the manage my notifications would be where you have to go now to turn it off. If it's on that page your admin maybe able to turn it off for the org but I don't see documentation for it so it may not be possible to do that
Best,
Clark
Hey @Clark Everson
Wouldn't that be cool if that was actually the case? That's the first place I looked and unfortunately there are two issues:
1. We use the "Default Notification Scheme" which hasn't changed since we first started using Jira Cloud three years ago. We've made no changes, ever, to the scheme and these only just started showing up.
2. Unless "Sprint Start/End" are called something more generic there is no notification for sprint start/end. In fact if you do a search in this forum you'll see a lot of people asking for just such a notification, which doesn't exist and why everyone says "create an automation".
Happy to be wrong though if I'm missing something!
