Hi All,
We have a requirement where, we need to add an extra field while creating a release version. Normally, while creating a release version, we have three fields, i.e, start date, release date, Name and Description, in the "create version" pop up. Is there a way to add another date field in this pop up window?
Hello Sud,
I regret to say that there's no way to do so.
What for would you need an extra date field there? Maybe we can find a workaround...
Hi Ignacio,
Thank you for you answer. We have a requirement wherein, we need an additional date field "Actual release date". So that to compare the "Release date" with this. I am not sure whether any plugin can do this. Kindly suggest.
Thank you for you help.

I've looked the Atlassian Market for version related apps, but have not found one which provides the feature of creating new fields at the version level:
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?hosting=cloud&product=jira&query=Version
Some of them have other interesting features, though.
As a workaround, would it be feasible to convey using the Start Date as the originally predicted release date, and the Release Date as the actual release date?
A different workaround would be creating a new issue type named Version, so that you can add as many fields as you need to register at this new issue type level.
Hope some of the workarounds actually work for you.
Best regards.
