How do I add an "Obsolete" status for tickets in a next gen Kanban project?
That status should:
* be selectable from the status dropdown in the ticket
* cause the ticket to be marked as resolved
* not be displayed on the Kanban board
How can I achieve this?
You can do this in two ways.
1) exclude the status in the Kanban board's filter query
2) exclude the status from column view.
You can move the status in the last part (unmapped statuses) of your Kanban board -> configuration -> Column )
by this way, the status will not visible in your Kanban board, but it will be allowed to move to the status only via issue view.
"You can move the status in the last part (unmapped statuses) of your Kanban board -> configuration -> Column )"
How do I do that? I was looking for something just like that, but I can't find any settings like that.
In the project under "Board", I only have the options "Complete Sprint", "Edit Sprint" and "Manage Rules".
I can also edit the column, but my only options for that are "Set column limit" and "Delete".
And under Project Settings, I can only edit the Details, Access, Issue Types, Features and Apps, none of which contain anything like that Column Management.
The closest I've come to is under Project Settings > Issue Types where each type has a "Status" field. However, that field is not editable.
