How to add existing stories from Project to an existing Portfolio Plan

I have some existing not-closed stories in my JIRA project that are not displayed in the Plan. There are other stories that seem to be in the same condition but are in the plan under "Issues without Parent Epic". How do I add these stories to my Plan?

Hello Laurie,

If an issue is not being displayed in a plan there are a few items to check, I would suggest starting off by looking at the following post that has a really good breakdown of the items to look for:

From the behavior you noted I would recommend looking at the filter in use and issue sources for excluded issues or releases that the issues may be associated to as the primary suspect, but please do let me know what you find.
