How to add filter as i want to see subtasks as well in backlog, board

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

What type of project are you using? Get that information from the View All Projects page under the Projects menu. The Type for each project in the list is noted in the Type column.

In order to see subtasks in a Kanban or Scrum backlog or board view we must first confirm that the subtasks are within the scope of the filter used by the board. The way to do that depends on the type of the project.

The options to use to display them in the backlog and board views may also differ by project type.

Welcome to the community!

I am pretty certain sub tasks are not designed to independently show in the backlog they will always show as a child item to the task. You can add tasks and pull them in the sprint and the sub tasks will show underneath them - by clicking on the carat.
