How to add related links from a description into the issue links of an issue?

Using Automation for Jira, I have an automation job that creates related issues from comments when someone references another ticket number. I'd like to do the same thing for the description, but for website links in descriptions.

For example, a description is updated to include a link with a URL to a non-jira website(could be a client facing site or a confluence page). I'd like to get the automation to read the text of the description and create the links automatically in the issue.
