Hi,
I am looking for a solution where I can update the time entered in number custom field to show in Time Tracking.
Here is the Scenario:
I have added 4 custom fields
Dev Estimates
Dev Time Spent
QA Estimate
QA Time Spent
All these custom fields are in number. When I enter let's say 2 in Dev time spent, I want Time Tracking to show 2 hours. Same goes for QA time Spent. When QA time spent is 3 hours the time tracking update to 5 hours, summing the time from both Dev and QA.
Time Tracking will be sum of both these values entered in these custom fields.
Please I need this badly. If automation is required then so be it. @Vikrant Yadav @Bill Sheboy @John Funk
Currently I havenot implemented time tracking using custom fields. I'm using an existing time tracking field in Jira.
However your problem could be achieved b using Jira Smart Values.
There is a section in date format of smart valus where you can calculate the difference and also add the time from previous updated time.
Though this is not a concrete answer, I hope this information will be helpful.

Hello, @Hizkeel Khan !
I wanted to share an alternative solution developed by my team called Cost Tracker for Jira Cloud. This add-on is specifically designed to assist with budget planning and provides robust features for generating cost and time reports. As well as add planned time and planned budget info into your reports.
Also we've recently introduced the capability to integrate custom fields into your time and cost reports. While this might not precisely align with your immediate requirements, you can seamlessly blend this feature with any time tracking solution and incorporate the fields you need into your generated reports.
In this article you may find some use-cases for using Jira Custom fields in your reports.
Hope this will help!
