We have a start up, team works on two three projects simultaneously,

How to add issues of different projects in single sprint without affecting the existing board?

Suppose i want to add project A and project B issues to a single sprint of a week?

please help me with procedure for the same

And will if affect the burndown chart?

Thanks,

Rucha

Hi @Rucha Auti,

You need to create a new Scrum Board. The filter needs to include two projects issues.

This makes it easy to manage Issues in two projects in a single sprint.

Hi Ollie,

Thank you for your response.

There are three options when I click on on create board

1) Board created with new software project

  - didn't tried this

2) Board from an exiting project ( Board can contain one or more projects)

 - Tried this but backlog issues rom both the projects ( A & B) get displayed, so team finding it confusing

3) Board from an existing saved filter ( An advanced option using a jql filter)

 - tried to add two projects, i saved filter from project A and selected the save location in project B, I am not able to add filter for project B( in short not able to add filters for both project in a single board ) not able to figure it out. May be i am missing out something important.

Please help me with the procedure and which option to select.

Regards,

Rucha

@Rucha Auti,

the thard option is what you want. Create a filter that represents what you want to include on the new board, save it and then create the board based on this filter. Regarding your comment in #2, I don’t understand your concern on the issues from both projects being in the backlog. Isn’t that what you originally asked for? Now if you wish to be able hide issues from one project or the other then create a quick filter for both the backlog and active sprint.

here is an example of the filter in its simplest form - project = Abc OR project = 123

If you cannot create that filter then it may be that you don’t have visibility of one of the projects.
