How to assign old assignee as issue watcher

Hi, is there a possibility to assign the old assignee of an issue as issue watcher in case I need to change the assignee? Like with a rule and smart values or something?

I know that it's possible to add the new assignee with a rule but I would need it for the old one.

I've gotten 90% of the automation working. The one thing I'm having trouble with is writing a condition that will not try to add the previous assignee if the previous assignee was "unassigned".

Hey Kian, this locks good to me. Since I dont have the option to create variables within rules in our clients Jira I can't confirm right now if thats working. I will try it on my test environment and I'll let you know.
