How to automate the workflow

May I please know how to automate or default the custom workflow for all the projects or when we create any new project, it should set the workflow automatically as per our organisation.

When you create a new Company Managed project, you can use the "Share settings with an existing project" option to automatically set the new project to use the same Workflow, Issue Type, Field, Screen, Permissions, and Notification schemes that are used already by another Company Managed project.

Otherwise there is nothing natively in Jira that will automatically ensure your projects all use the same workflow.

And this option is not available when creating Team Managed projects as those are specifically designed to be stand-alone and not share configurations with other projects.

I have not seen that box disabled before for a user who has access to this functionality. Can you tell use the exact steps you are executing to create the project, including all the menus and options you click on? You post says you are a Site Admin. Can you confirm that you also belong to a group that is granted the Administer Jira permission in Global permissions?

Hi @Trudy Claspill , I am following below steps and also I have checked with my admin who has full rites to do everything but for admin also the checkbox is disabled. 

We are on a free version of JIRA, Is it because of that we cannot access that?

Create new Project -> select template (kanban) -> select project type (company management)

it took a little searching, but yes, it seems this option is not available in the Free plan, as per:
