How to bulk postpone start/end date of some related issues

Wei Lin September 18, 2024

Hi,

I wonder how can   bulk postpone some related issue start duedate. For example, if A blocks B issue, B block C issue, if A need to postpone 2 days, how can I bulk change B & C issue start date and end date?  see attached plan image:2.png

I have found below answers, but not suit for me yet.

1. I can not find "Change Task mode", and I have not installed Gantt either——Refer to [Big Picture] Bulk Change Scheduling Mode (atlassian.com)

2. Refer to How Can I set the due date of Subtask A to be the ... (atlassian.com)

It told me to customize various filters and automation, which seems  not very convenient?

Thanks

WeiLin

Hello @Wei Lin

I see that you referenced a post where I supplied the answer.

There are only two options for automating the task. One option is the automation rule solution I provided in the other post.

The other option is to use the Automated Schedule feature of Jira Plans, available in the Premium edition. I don't think that option actually will meet your requirement, but you can learn more about it here:

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/how-does-the-auto-scheduler-in-advanced-roadmaps-work/

Jira does not otherwise natively provide a feature to update dates for a sequence of linked issues.
