How to change font color /bold in Comment box ( when placing a comment ) ?

Is it possible to change the font color or type in the Comment box when making a comment ?

Yes. JIRA uses the JIRA Wiki Renderer for formatting comments. Reference (https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/WikiRendererHelpAction.jspa?section=all).
