How to change the due date format in issues , JIRA core cloud

How do I change the due date format in JIRA core cloud? I have checked the look and feel under the system setting , it has the correct format but for some reasons, it doesn't apply to the issue Due date

Hi Angelica , please see the the attached screen shots from the issue due date and also the look an feel setting , we are using JIRA Core Cloud

Thanks for the details MJ.
This issue that you are facing is a bug and it happens only on the new issue view.
If you disable the new view (Profile picture > Personal settings > Jira Labs) and open the tickets through the Issues and filters > Search issues, you will see the date correctly.

Thanks for reaching out to Atlassian Community!
Just for us to better understand and help you with this issue, can you please let us know what changes you made and what is appearing when you click on due date field?
If possible send us a screenshot of the configuration on "Look and feel" and of what appears on "Due date", then we can use the same configuration here to test and check why this is happening and how to fix.
