How to check that a project is read only in jira

How can I check that a project is read only in Jira? Also, how can we make it read only if it is not?

Hi @Mouna Hammoudi ,

There is no concept of Read Only or Read Write in jira projects. All you have to do is, change permissions in permission schemes.

"Browse permission" grants users Read-Only access. To edit, transition, assign, watch etc. tickets, you need to update the scheme accordingly.
