How to configure Load Balancing in JIRA?

Can any one explain the procedure to the configuration of Load Balancing in JIRA?

Or which load balancer is suitable for JIRA?

Does JIRA works good or not after the implementation of Load balancing?

I will go for Failover. To set up the fail over which load balancer is suitable ?

Any that supports standard web services. Not that it matters because you won't be doing any load-balancing, just passing through the connections.
