I want to use Slack to create Jira tickets.
I set it all up and then use the /Jira create command in Slack to create issues.
My question is how do you determine which fields appear. I was thinking that it would be using the Jira Create Screen of the issue (Bug in my example).
However, they don't match up like I thought they would.
I tried modifing the Create Screen - but it must be using a different source.
Has anyone solved this? Or is there another way to configure which fields show up in the Slack Jira interface?
Hello, Good day. At the moment we don't have the option to customise create screen from slack. Following feature request has been filed for the same. https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-18369
The fields in the Create dialog in Slack are coming from somewhere in Jira - the question is where?
I looked at the Create screen for a bug issue and compared that with the Create options from the Slack interface.
I could see that Dates where not taken - this is a clue (didn't want them anyways)
Maybe I can remove the people from the Hidden Fields???

I figured it out - I just needed to remove all the fields that I didn't want from the Create screen (including those in other tabs).
Now everything works as it should.
