Dear all,
We have a Jira DC instance which is using H2 database and Jira 9.1.
We were trying to upgrade the Jira version to Jira 9.12 but we notice that the upgrade did not convert the H2 version to the version of the installed Jira.
After some research we find out that this conversion need to be done manually before upgrading
So we have 2 option in our case :
Does any one have an easy way or tool to proceed with this 2 steps ?
PS : We do not want to loose how H2 data even if we know that it should not be used in production instance. but we were quite surprise to see that when you update to a new version , the installer is not able to convert the H2 db as well
Thanks for your help
regards
Hi @Serge Calderara ,
my suggestion is to migrate to Postgres (https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/switching-databases-938846867.html#Switchingdatabases-differenttype). H2 database is not supported for production environments so please try to test a db migration process in a test environment first.
