Hi, I'm running sprints on JIRA Software 'team-managed' project. I'm unable to see the "Create Issue" in the 1st column of the board, as shown at this link.
How can I add new issues to the board in the running/current sprint directly? It's very painful to goto backlog, create there and then come back to board to see.
TIA.
Hi Priyank,
To create Issue directly in the board and add it to the running sprint, Go to the board press "C" on the keyboard and it opens "Create Issue" page then fill all the required field and select current sprint then it will add new issue to the board.
It didn't work for me unfortunately. I am in a Team Managed project. I have a Board and a Backlog, and when I press C to Create Issue in the board, it doesn't give me an option to add to Board or Current Sprint.

Hi Ellen,
Please select the current sprint while creating issue, it will automatically add to the board.

Hi Somnath,
I didn't have Sprints turned on before, only Board and Backlog.
I turned on Sprints and was now able to create new issues in the current sprint.
Thanks!

I was looking for the solution of the same problem. I think the root cause is in JIRA default settings for Team Managed project, where Backlog is turned on, but Sprints not. So apart of turning Sprints on other option is to turn Backlog off.

Hello @Priyank Sharma
All you need is to choose the necessary sprint during the issue creation.
