How to create more than one row in JIRA plan Release?

Trent Hui April 4, 2024

hi team,

I've setup a Plan in Jira, and would like to indicate a a)release, and b)milestone clearly by 2 rows. The milestone, I mean the to mark the key events, e.g. kickoff, acceptance, summit etc. Yet I cannot see any clues on how it can be setup.

Under current setting, there is only one row (orange box) in Release. Is it possible to create more than one row in Release?

Hi @Trent Hui,

This is not something you can customise, unfortunately. Releases are displayed just the way you see them right now.

Jira does not have a way to identify releases and milestones as different things. What might help is to take a different approach as to how you define your project. You could model some of these as tasks, potentially even with a milestone issue type, which helps you to clearly identify these as specific things.

Hope this helps!
