How to disable Cloudflare (CDN) in Confluence?

Joe Lee March 1, 2019

How can we configure Confluence to disable all communication with Cloudflare?

Whenever we use our self-hosted instance of Confluence, we can observe communication with Cloudflare at cdnjs.cloudflare.com.

Each user could block the requests to Cloudflare using Privacy Badger or a Javascript blocker such as LibreJS.  However, we would like to stop this information leak at the source by properly configuring Confluence.

Have you installed any third-party add-ons? They might be accessing the Atlassian libraries distributed via https://cdnjs.com/libraries/aui

You could test this by activating safe mode https://confluence.atlassian.com/upm/disabling-and-enabling-apps-273875716.html#Disablingandenablingapps-Disablingorenablingallapps(usingSafeMode)

Thanks, James!  It was in fact an add-on, which I was previously not aware of, that was talking to the cloudflare server.
