How to disable issue reminders per post function

With the Add-on "Issue Reminder" we create our stories and subtasks with a reminder at each ticket. The reminders have the purpose to inform department's people to resolve open tasks. But of course, if the task is closed the reminder is not needed anymore. The add-on only supports a create, edit or delete for a reminder. In practise we would like to disable it anyway. But this is not possible. In other way we want to delete it within a post function of a transition. But this is not supported. Only a creation is possible when the checkbox is visible on the ticket screen. But this doesn't help.

Is there any idea to get the reminders deleted or disabled per post function?

There are two ways to to it: 

  1. On reminder configuration screen, there is a setting ("Send reminders of resolved issues") which you can set to false to prevent add-on sending reminders for resolved issues. 
  2. Using a Scripted workflow post function to delete reminders. This requires a third party add-on like ScriptRunner. You can see an example here.
