How to disable templates found in JIRA Core Project Templates Plugin

Trying to disable templates that we do not need for our company. 

I have found the following folder JIRA Core Project Templates Plugin but cannot disable, is this still possible?

Hi Peter,

The templates are from the Jira system, so it's not possible to hide or remove.
I've checked the plugin as well and none of the modules can be modified and we have no feature request for this to be implemented in the future.

How do we go about proposing this? 

As I see it used to happen, but was removed and I'm not sure why.

Hi Peter,

I believe that this option is only available for Jira Server.
I found a question from 2014 where some customers were trying to disable templates on Jira cloud, but didn't find the option.

I haven't found any old documentation related to this feature, so I believe that it's only possible on Server.
