How to display components field in sub-task list?

UltimaWeapon September 1, 2020

Hi,

I'm trying to display components field of each sub-task in the user story view in the Backlog. I already tried this guide https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-view-subtask-fields-in-a-parent-issue-278072457.html but it does not work. Is it possible to achieve this?

Hello @UltimaWeapon

Thank you for reaching out.

Unfortunately, the instructions of the guide are not applicable to the New issue view of Jira Cloud. We have a feature request opened to enable the changes in jira.table.cols.subtasks to affect the new issue view:

Updating jira.table.cols.subtasks in Advanced Settings has no effect in the new experience

Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

As a workaround, you can turn off your new issue view, so the changes applied in that guide will take effect.

P.S: This workaround might not work for some sites (See JRACLOUD-72148).

Let us know if you have any questions.
