How to enable edit permissions in quick view of ticket on jira board

Hey Guys,

How can I enable editing field on such screens from backlog or boards

Even with admin permissions I have not got a choice to perform this.

Hi John,

You'll want to make sure you have edit issue permissions.  You can verify that by going to the Project > Project Settings > Permissions.  From there you can verify you have Edit Issue permisisons.

I have also seen reports of users that had this problem in 7.3.0 and an upgrade to the latest version solved that for them. I checked my instance and I am able to edit those fields without issue. If you are not on the latest version I would suggest upgrading to see if you continue to experience the problem.
