Thanks for your response. They didn't mention where to enable the archive option. As per the release notes...archive option is disabled by default. So my question is how to enable issue archive as a administrator?

Issue archiving is only part of Jira Data center release version 8.1

Could you please elaborate more on how you are trying to archive the issues.
