How to fetch insight attributes in mail templates

Hi all

I'm setting up a simple equipment cmdb using insight. I've created my object types and attributes. Everything fine so far.

I want to get an approval from my customers - therefore creating a "equipment registration" case each time I hand something out. I've built a workflow for this - part of it sending an approval mail. In this approval mail I want to fetch attributes from the jira insight object. How is this done?

I already created a customfield that fetch the insight object - works fine! But each time I put this field inside my mail template, it only returns the label value of the object in the mail sent. I want it to include more attributes (serial number, model name etc.)

In my mail template, I fetch my customfield using this: #renderCustomField($issue, "customfield_11703")

I suppose I'm adding something to this in order to get the attributes from insight as well?
