How to find a single-digit issue in a backlog with hundreds of issues?

I'm looking for issue ABC-9.

-- I enter 9 in the search box.

-- Jira returns ABC-19, ABC-29, ABC-39.... ABC-90, ABC-91, ABC-92... etc.

How do I search just for number 9, and not every issue with a 9 somewhere in the number?

Make use of JQL search instead.
