How to get the contents of the selected module in jira?

Please explain

• what you mean by "get"
• "contents of the module"
• what a "module" is
• where the "selection" is done

I configured a drop-down box to store the module configured in jira. I first get the currently selected module. Is it the module I need? If it is the module I want, I will send the mail.

So "module" is a custom field?  And Selected means "the current value in the field"?
